Week 8 Progress

Image
I like where my progress is at so far in this class. I feel like I have been able to stay on top of my assignments really well thus far this semester, and even if I miss an assignment or two I have a couple of extra credit assignments I have become very familiar with. My favorite is the Check-In/Connect extra credit assignment, because it allows me to just take a second and think about the previous week and what I have upcoming, and express how I feel in a fun way. I also like extra commenting, because it allows me to look at more works of my peers. Overall, my favorite assignment has been the Thursday writings because it lets me creatively express myself. However, in the future I want to move towards using more dialogue in my works and being more constructive in my commenting.  Image via  Meme Generator

Week 8 Comments and Feedback

The quality of my feedback has been great and better than what I expected. Truthfully, when I first learned we were going to get feedback from others I went into it with a prideful mindset, thinking that this was my work so I would know it way better than anyone else. Because I am reading posts by people I don't know, I feel less inclined to tell them how I think they could make their story or layout a little better, but instead only encourage them in the good. While I don't think this is a bad thing, I know the criticism has helped me so I want to help others from this point forward.  I do feel connection more than I thought, as I find myself returning to peoples pages t...

Week 8 Reading and Writing

While it is fun to personalize your blogs and webpages, I kind of like the more bland and classic feel that mine has. While spicing it up could be fun, I really do like the basic feel.      Looking back at my writing, I realized a lot of it feels the same. I don't think that is a bad thing, but you can directly see my the stories I am interpreting in my writings. I haven't  really branched out and tried an alternate ending or a major shift in a character's personality or actions, so that is something I think I will try with my next story. Don't get me wrong, I am proud of my work and think it is quality, I should try taking a different approach with my writing. Looking back at my first story, I drifted away from using human characters and using dialogue, which is something I might move back towards as well.      Noah's ark during the flood, via  UN-Textbook I chose this picture because it is not at all what I pic...
