She sat, and sat, and sat some more. After minutes that felt like days of sitting, she noticed something moving out of the corner of her eye. She thought to be imagining it, as her boredom had been getting worse, but when she looked over she saw a spiffy dressed rabbit checking his watch and hopping passed them. Now THIS is not boring, a creature doing the abnormal. She chased after the rabbit, and barely caught up to it as it scurried down a rabbit hole.     Alice quickly turned around, seeing her sister unmoved and still reading, and quickly followed the rabbit down the hole. She fell down the hole for a long time, on what seemed like a slide. The walls around her were colorful and patterned, which excited Alice as she expected adventure ahead.        There once was a turtle named Franklin, who is remembered for his overwhelming pride. This pride made him intimidated by any other male force born into his family, because he was the alpha. Every time any of his siblings would give birth to a son, he would proceed to kill the newborn male turtle. After this had happened twice, Franklin's siblings devised a plan to pretend any newborn male was a female. When the next of kin was born male, he acted as a female would and the others treated him as one.     This went on for many years, but Franklin began to become suspicious. He invited the youngest of the family, Riri (who was actually a male named Richard), to go search  for bread left behind from humans. Riri's parents were uncomfortable with this situation, as they suspected that Franklin knew that Riri was actually their son. They weeped and warned Riri of the danger this would cause, but Riri left with Uncle Franklin anyway.    ...

Week 3 Story: The Chosen Ant

Image
The Chosen Ant Many years ago, a very smart farmer began to toy around with genetics, creating a new species of insect. These small and ground-limited insects were named "Ants", and the farmer loved his creation and kept them close by on the farm to watch over them. However, in time, the ants began to rebel against the wishes of the farmer. As a whole, the species were lazy, always fighting with each other, and selfish in only looking out for themselves in food collection. The farmer noticed these changes, and were displeased with his creation, except for one ant whom he named Moah. Moah respected the farmer, still following the guidelines that were set in the beginning. One day, the farmer pulled Moah out of the boundaries of the farm to tell him he was going to start the population over, in hopes the next to come would be more respectful to his wishes. Moah understood, as he had seen the changes in the actions of his species. However, the farmer told Moah he had found fav...

The undetectable man, trying to free himself from the restraints he put himself in, was detected. The on-shift security guard came upon him on one of his rounds and began to laugh at the fool caught in the safe. "Oh how silly you look!" mocked the security guard, "you have done my job for me!" "Please!" the burglar pleaded, "If you help free me from these restraints I will split them with you, we will both be rich!" The security guard paused, not expecting such an intrigui...
