Week 8 Reading and Writing
While it is fun to personalize your blogs and webpages, I kind of like the more bland and classic feel that mine has. While spicing it up could be fun, I really do like the basic feel.
Looking back at my writing, I realized a lot of it feels the same. I don't think that is a bad thing, but you can directly see my the stories I am interpreting in my writings. I haven't really branched out and tried an alternate ending or a major shift in a character's personality or actions, so that is something I think I will try with my next story. Don't get me wrong, I am proud of my work and think it is quality, I should try taking a different approach with my writing. Looking back at my first story, I drifted away from using human characters and using dialogue, which is something I might move back towards as well.
Noah's ark during the flood, via UN-Textbook
I chose this picture because it is not at all what I picture when I think of Noah's ark. This picture is grainy and the Ark is not shaped how I think about it in my head, but I really like it. I feel like this is the type of cartoon-ish picture I would see in my Sunday school room at church growing up, so it is also kind of nostalgic.
